Overview
The client approached Wow Solutions with a clear business goal: improve team performance, strengthen food hygiene practices, and prepare their staff to achieve a five-star food hygiene rating. Their challenge was not simply access to information — it was training engagement. The team needed a learning experience that was practical, memorable, and easy to complete.
What We Designed
Wow Solutions designed an interactive digital learning experience titled “How to Achieve Five Star in Food Hygiene Ratings.” Instead of presenting food hygiene as a static compliance topic, we transformed the training into an engaging, clickable, audio-visual learning journey.
The course combined interactive screens, guided explanations, visual examples, knowledge checks, and scenario-based content to help learners connect food hygiene principles with real restaurant situations.

Learning Design Approach
The learning design was strongly aligned with Experiential Learning Theory, which suggests that people learn more effectively when they actively engage with realistic experiences rather than passively receiving information.
Our Learning Solution
By using clickable activities, audio-visual explanations, and practical workplace scenarios, the course encouraged staff to think, respond, and apply their knowledge in context.
Using a combination of e-learning authoring tools, Wow Solution developed a polished course structure supported by quizzes and certification. The course was designed to increase learner accountability while giving the client a clear way to track completion and readiness.
The Outcomes
After rollout, the client reported a significant improvement in team performance. The course achieved a 97.38% completion rate, showing strong learner engagement across the team. Most importantly, the improved training contributed to the restaurant eventually achieving its desired five-star food hygiene rating.
This project demonstrates Wow Solutions ability to turn essential compliance training into a premium, engaging, and results-focused learning experience.
