Overview
For many organisations, first aid training is often viewed as a compliance requirement. However, this client wanted more than certification alone. Their goal was to ensure that employees felt prepared, confident, and capable of responding effectively during real-life emergency situations.
What We Designed
Wow Solutions designed an engaging digital learning experience focused on helping learners understand what to do, when to act, and how to respond with confidence during emergencies.
Rather than presenting first aid as a collection of procedures and regulations, the course was structured as a practical learning journey. Learners progressed through clear explanations, visual demonstrations, interactive screens, scenario-based activities, knowledge checks, and quizzes designed to reinforce critical actions step by step.

Learning Design Approach
The learning design was strongly aligned with Scenario-Based Learning, which places learners in realistic situations and encourages them to think through decisions before applying knowledge. This approach was particularly effective for first aid training because learners need more than theoretical understanding. They must be able to recognise emergency situations, assess risks, make informed decisions, and take appropriate action under pressure.
Our Learning Solution
By combining interactive activities, realistic workplace scenarios, visual demonstrations, and assessment-driven learning, the course encouraged active participation and practical application of knowledge.
Using a combination of e-learning authoring tools, Wow Solutions developed a polished learning experience supported by quizzes, assessments, and certification. The solution helped build learner confidence while providing the client with a structured method for tracking completion and readiness.
The Outcomes
The final result was a practical, engaging, and memorable first aid learning experience. Learners moved beyond passive reading and developed a stronger understanding of emergency response procedures and decision-making.
